Yesterday at the Haldimand Marketing Mastermind… we were talking about visibility.

I asked the room:
“What businesses do you know that are amazing at what they do… but not enough people really know about them?”

I was expecting to hear a few names around town.

Instead… one of my clients said:

“You.”

And I’ll be honest… that hit.

Because people might know me as:
• “the Dunnville Chamber marketing person”
• “the one who does marketing for so-and-so”
• “the go-to when someone needs help”
• “the home staging marketing expert”

But when it comes to what I actually do

It’s not always clear.

So… fine.
I’ll practise what I preach.

This is what I do.

I’ve owned a marketing company for over 20 years—sometimes with a team, sometimes just me.

Yes, I can do almost anything in marketing:
websites, brochures, events, promotions, newsletters, publishing, social media, branding, courses…

But what I really love—and where I do my best work—is strategy.

I work with clients to build 12-month marketing plans.
We map out what they actually need, what actions will move the needle, and how those efforts connect to real, profitable goals.

Because a website on its own isn’t the strategy.
A post here and there isn’t the strategy.

I like to see the full picture—and build something that works.

Most of my clients come through referrals, because once their marketing starts working… people notice.

I’m also a Real Estate Agent—which I thought would lean heavily into listings and commercial.

But interestingly… I’ve found myself helping more first-time home buyers under 30 than anything else.

And I love that.

Because at the core of everything I do… is people.

That’s why I love my role with the Chamber.
Why I love publishing books and telling stories.
Why I love teaching.

People often ask how I do it all.

The truth is—I don’t see them as separate things.

I see how they all connect.

Marketing. Real estate. Community. Creativity.

It’s all part of designing a business—and a life—that you actually enjoy.

And if I’m being honest… yesterday was a good reminder.

Even when you’re good at what you do…
even when you’re busy…
even when people kind of know…

If you’re not clearly visible—

You’re leaving opportunity on the table.

So here I am… closing my own visibility gap.

So if you need help with:

• Creating a clear marketing plan (not just random posts)
• Mapping out a profitable 12-month strategy
• Getting your business seen in the right places
• Turning ideas into marketing that actually works
• Websites, print, or campaigns that connect to a bigger goal
Or buying, selling, or navigating your next move in real estate
