Last week’s conversation started with a simple question: “If someone discovered your business today, what are the three easiest ways they could buy from you?” And then we took it one step further: “Is there a way someone can try working with you without a big commitment?” What was interesting is that everyone did have an answer. The offers were there. The ideas were there. The ways to start were already built into their businesses. But as we talked it through, something became clear—it wasn’t a lack of opportunity, it was a lack of visibility. These entry points weren’t always easy to find, clearly positioned, or presented as the natural next step for someone just getting to know the business.

We talked about how customers don’t move from discovery to big commitment overnight. They move through trust. They want to experience your brand, see the quality of your work, and feel confident before investing more. That’s where the Offer Ladder comes in—creating a clear path from discovering you, to trying you, to working with you, and eventually going deeper. The biggest takeaway wasn’t that people needed to create more offers… it was that most businesses already have an Offer Ladder, they just haven’t made it obvious. When someone lands on your website or social media, they shouldn’t have to figure out how to start. That next step should be clear, simple, and easy to say yes to.

The exercise really brought this to life. As everyone mapped out their ladder, the gaps weren’t in what they offered—they were in how those offers were communicated. Some realized their entry point was buried. Others saw that they were only explaining options once someone reached out. And that final question stayed with us: “If someone wanted to give you money today, how easy would you make it for them?” Because sometimes, without realizing it, we’re making that first step harder than it needs to be.
